Leading Australian headquartered global cyber security company, FirstWave Cloud Technology Limited (ASX: FCT) has launched new Remote Worker Cyber Security products on its proprietary Cloud Content Security Platform (CCSP) for partners globally to help protect their end-customers from the huge rise in cyber attacks targeting the remote worker during the COVID-19 disruption.
FirstWave COO, Neil Pollock, said working remotely opens up a variety of potential cyber security vulnerabilities when business users visit websites or access business information and applications through less secure home wireless and public networks.
Cyber attackers are increasingly targeting vulnerable users with phishing attacks and malware via Covid19-themed emails, apps, websites and social media posts. The number of cyber attacks on email and endpoint devices has grown six-fold in March 2020.
FirstWave’s CCSP provides email and web security solutions that leverage Cisco’s market leading technologies to provide real time protection whilst accessing emails and browsing the Internet over public networks. CCSP’s endpoint security solution leverages market leading technology from Trend Micro to protect the end-user’s desktop, laptop, tablet device and smartphones from getting compromised by malware, ransomware and other forms of cyber attacks.
Mr Pollock said FirstWave’s Tier 1 global partners NTT Data, SHELT, and Digital Wholesale Solutions (DWS) have moved immediately to take these offers to their UK, Europe and Middle East customers with first orders already received. FirstWave has line of sight to 10,000 seats in the next 3-6 months.
This current COVID-19 crisis has increased the risk of cyber crime which accompanies the rapidly expanding new world of remote working,” Mr Pollock said.
“Our unique CCSP technology put us in a position to launch this offer in ten days and as such we are proud to be able to help our partners and their at- risk end-customers through this challenging period.
“We have transformed our standard offerings so they can be deployed rapidly anywhere in the world, provide enterprise-grade security to any size business from SOHOs to enterprise and Government, and protect the most risky cyber activities – accessing company networks via remote unprotected devices.”
