Emerge Gaming’s (ASX:EM1) recent partnership with leading marketing agency Detonator Media Group is already bearing fruit with tournament services to be provided to leading pizza fast-food brand in Southern Africa.
Earlier this month, Emerge – which operates the online eSports and casual gaming tournament platform and lifestyle hub Arcade X – inked a partnership with Detonator Media Group, the leading gaming media and marketing agency in South Africa, to accelerate the roll out of Arcade X’s Corporate Tournament and Sponsorship Revenue Model in the country.
Two weeks later, Emerge has secured its first revenue generative tournament service agreement through Detonator in South Africa.
Under the deal, Detonator will use Emerge’s Arcade X platform to deliver an eSports sponsorship and marketing campaign for Debonairs Pizza including hosting and operating Debonairs branded online tournaments in South Africa.
These tournament services will drive purchases for Arcade X, with gamers required to register with Arcade X to enter Debonairs sponsored online gaming tournaments. The tournament services are expected to result in around A$100,000 of revenue for Emerge.

Debonairs is the leading pizza fast-food brand in Southern Africa delivering 2.9 million pizzas per month from more than 500 restaurants.
Shares in EM1 gained 0.1c or 7% to 1.7c in Thursday trading.
